My time as a freelance automotive print journalist included stints corresponding from Germany and the USA. Titles included Automotive News (International), European Car (USA) and Automotive Engineer (UK). I was also a regular contributor to Audi Driver (UK), Volkswagen Driver (UK), quattro quarterly (USA) and ettore, the Bugatti customer magazine. Having started as a specialist in fossil-fuel powertrain and design, my focus now lies in topics related to a more sustainable approach to transportation and mobility. In 2021, I completed a Masters in International Journalism for Media Professionals with Edinburgh Napier University, graduating with distinction. My major project was a transportation news website called Scotland in Motion.

During my Masters, I also explored audio and video journalism away from the international automotive sector. It was a welcome change in media and subject matter. The results were a podcast and a short documentary.

I sharpened my newswriting skills during a Masters placement with specialist outlet Ooska News (now The Water Diplomat). My time there provided me with a new and fascinating insight into the world of water, which also has a critical bearing on the automotive sector.
